I recently tested OfferGenie, and its responses felt more human-like than other interview assistants. However, it couldn't remain invisible during live interviews (I'll explain the underlying reason later in this article), which clearly wasn't what I wanted. I believe OfferGenie is better suited as an interview preparation tool rather than a live interview assistant; therefore, I ultimately chose a fully invisible AI interview assistant, Linkjob, as the OfferGenie alternative.
For me, the most crucial factor when selecting an AI interview assistant is its stealth capability. Based on this feature, I've curated a list of tools—including Linkjob as the top choice, along with Google Interview Warmup and Huru. Both LInkjob and OfferGenie provide high-quality answers. They both support inputting resumes and job descriptions to customize AI responses. I find OfferGenie's behavioral interview answers more human-like, while Linkjob delivers higher-quality coding solutions.

Online interview platforms primarily monitor candidates through the following methods:
Screen sharing: Interviewers/proctors can view everything you share via Zoom, Google Meet, or the platform's built-in tools—without exception.
Webcam Eye Tracking (on select platforms): Tracks your gaze direction; prolonged averted eyes from the screen may trigger alerts.
Code Paste Detection: flags extensive or frequent pasting within the code editor—considered potential cheating.
Tab Switching/Window Focus Loss: Detects when you leave the interview tab or click outside the browser, though it cannot see what you switch to.
Or you can read HackerRank how to cheat. This article uses HackerRank as an example to explain in greater detail how technical interview platforms detect candidates using AI interview assistants.

As shown above, OfferGenie is a web-based AI interview assistant. This means that if I switch tabs during the interview or share my screen with the interviewer, they will detect me using an AI interview assistant to cheat. Additionally, when I need different answers, I must perform manual operations (sometimes even manually inputting the interviewer's questions), which may also trigger anomaly detection.
OfferGenie's second stealth solution involves accessing its standalone web interface on a separate device (phone, tablet, or computer) to view all outputs. Unlike other methods requiring extra hardware, OfferGenie allows direct question uploads via its app on the interview device. However, challenges persist when composing answers.
During a mock interview with a friend, we identified potential issues:
If the secondary device is a phone, its small screen makes reviewing answers extremely difficult and may appear unnatural during the interview.
If the secondary device is a tablet or computer, it must be placed nearby; detection only occurs when checking answers.
Certain technical interview platforms, such as CoderByte, immediately detect candidates using dual devices, rendering OfferGenie unusable.
So while some of OfferGenie's features are decent, I need an AI interview assistant software that can genuinely assist me during actual interviews.

Linkjob holds a significant advantage in this regard. As a desktop AI copilot, it remains undetectable by any interview platform during use, and its floating window remains invisible during screen sharing.
If this is your first time using the AI interview assistant, I need to briefly explain: The interview program primarily detects whether you're using the AI interview assistant by tracking tab switches, without displaying any content. However, this feature relies on all software being web-based. If you're using software-based tools like Linkjob, they fall outside this detection framework and thus won't be detected according to the privacy policy.
The screen-sharing feature remains invisible because Linkjob's interface sits on top of all other windows on my computer.
Note: For Zoom meetings, enable “Advanced capture with window flicking” to ensure its invisibility. And Linkjob stays active but never shows an icon, so no one can tell it's running.

OfferGenie comes equipped with a wide range of features: resume editing, targeted job search, mock interviews, a question bank, and interview coaching. Among these, the mock interview feature is particularly impressive.
After uploading my resume and job description, OfferGenie provides an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) score and recommends keywords to optimize my resume.

OfferGenie features a uniquely systematic design, with its AI mock interview functionality far exceeding a basic Q&A bot. I can practice using AI avatars customized for specific industries—from startups to Fortune 500 companies—and the platform supports over 10 languages. Feedback is instant and personalized, analyzing not only my responses but also providing performance scores. This feature delivers an excellent experience.
However, as shown in the photo I added to “OfferGenie real-time interview copilot,” I need to manually switch between answer types during interviews. I find this extremely inconvenient during live interviews.
Linkjob eliminates this need for switching, from uploading questions to providing answers—without requiring any extra effort on my part. You can perform automatic speech recognition or upload screenshots of programming questions within the same mode (Linkjob allows uploading up to 6 screenshots at once, which is crucial for lengthy programming problems).

Linkjob has one minor issue: I couldn't find some settings at first, but after watching their official tutorial videos, all my problems were solved.
Their official videos are extremely detailed, which I find quite rare and helpful.
OfferGenie operates on a points-based system. For specific pricing details, please refer to the chart below. I believe this design is actually more reasonable than a one-time payment: sometimes interview sessions are too short, making it feel like a waste, while other times they run too long, and interrupting due to insufficient time is awkward.

Note:Once the credits in your package are used up, you can purchase additional credits at a rate of $1 for 2 credits.
What I think is that this isn't exactly a bargain. While it seems like just $29 a month, I only get about 5 mock interviews or 4 live interview sessions per month—which is completely insufficient for my job search timeline.
Linkjob is different. During my subscription period, I can use it unlimited times.
Its subscription plans include:$100 per month if purchased on a monthly basis, $70 per month if purchased quarterly, and $30 per month if purchased annually.

I find Linkjob AI stays invisible during interviews. It runs as a desktop app, so screen sharing or browser checks never reveal it. OfferGenie works in the browser, which can show up during screen sharing.
I use Linkjob AI for coding practice. It supports real-time coding challenges and feedback. OfferGenie focuses more on general interview questions and does not offer the same high-quality coding support.
Linkjob AI lets me practice interviews in multiple languages from start to finish. OfferGenie supports over ten languages, but Linkjob AI’s full-process simulation feels more natural for international roles.
I love how Linkjob AI lets me upload my resume, set preferences, and tailor mock sessions. OfferGenie provides structured frameworks, but Linkjob AI gives me more control over my practice.
